Staffan Ericsson - Venture Partner
Staffan
has been an entrepreneur and technologist for 20 years. Staffan comes
to Vesbridge from SPVC, where he had been a Venture Partner since 2000.
Prior to joining SPVC, Staffan was with RealNetworks as a special
consultant following their acquisition of his company, Vivo Software.
Staffan
founded Vivo Software in 1992 and served as its first CEO and later as
chairman until the company was acquired by RealNetworks in 1998. Before
founding Vivo, Staffan spent seven years at PictureTel, where his roles
included Director of Research and Director of International Sales.
While at PictureTel, Staffan invented HVQ, enabling PictureTel to
achieve prominence in group videoconferencing. Staffan also served as
the CEO at GeoVantage.
Staffan holds 12 patents around video compression and is especially active with seed-stage start-ups.
